The El Vellón preserve is located in the Pedrezuela reservoir in the municipalities of Pedrezuela, El Vellón and Guadalíx de la Sierra. The reservoir was built in 1967 and is supplied by the waters of the Guadalíx river, with a maximum capacity of 41 cubic hectometers and a maximum area of 393 hectares.

This cyprinid preserve, houses an important population of carp and pike and is managed in a consortium by the Community of Madrid and the EL VELLÓN sport fishing club.

Marketable species: carp, tench, crucian carp, pike, black bass, percasol and marsh crab.

Business days: from Tuesday to Sunday. Forbidden Monday except holidays.

Fishing hours: from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.

Requirements to be able to fish: daily permit, valid fishing license and ID.

Maximum number of rods: two, located at hand.

The areas marked in red on the location map are closed for fishing.
